Attending Camp Basilone is an exciting choice. The MCHA organizes youth programs, and minors 16 and over are welcome at Camp Basilone. The MCHA takes pride in our application process. After you contact the MCHA you will be asked to submit an application with your social security number for a background check. If you claim prior-service, a copy of your DD214 will be requested as well. This is to ensure that all who come to the Camp are honorable men and have not been convicted of a felony, especialy a domestic or child related crime. All those at Camp must also be drug free and understand our mission. |

Learning Outcomes
For those who are participating in Vietnam reenactment or airsoft evets as NVA or VC, this course will give you the tools to do it better and do it right. Instructed by a former MACV-SOG veteran, you'll learn the finer arts of guerilla tactics while activly engaging the Recon team in the field. Creating spider holes, "spike boards", door traps, and whip traps are just a few of the things you will learn.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the 4-day immersion each candidate will have an appreciation of the skills and techniques of a Marine Corps Recon Man of the Vietnam era. Graduates have skills to act in any capacity on a recon team, grasp the necessity of stealth, observation, evasion and breaking contact in support of strategic missions, are capable of calling in supporting arms from reaction forces and/or artillery, and understand the importance of following orders both under fire and at rest.
