Next week, I'm taking a look at buying this project vehicle. It's an Army M170 ambulance. Very rough condition, no motor or anything. It will likely take up space in my garage for a year before I can do anything to it. But...it's a vehicle from the Korean war.

My plan was to make it an Army truck, and then use Marine Corps paint applied OVER the Army stencils, that way you'd have the impression that the jeep was "acquired" by the Corps.

The M170 isn't only an Army truck. The Corps did use them as general purpose and radio trucks. Here's one of the the M170's in Navy colors in Vietnam:
