Itinerary:
Day One:
0800/Report In
0800-0900/Movement to Camp
0900-1000/Indoc Briefing & Camp Setup
1000-1200/First Evolution (Use of Skis/Snowshoes)
1200-1230/Lunch
1230-1430/Second Evolution (Cold Weather Survival)
1430-1630/Third Evolution (Tracking)
1630-1730/Dinner
1730-2030/Patrol & Ambush
2030-2400/Rack Time

Day Two:
2400-0500/Rack Time
0500-0600/Breakfast
0600-0800/Fourth Evolution (Avalanche Rescue)
0800-1000/Fifth Evolution (Camouflage)
1000-1200/Sixth Evolution (Marksmanship)
1200-1300/Lunch
1300-1500/Route Recon Patrol
1500-1530/Debrief

Tracking
Avalanche Rescue
Patrol & Ambush
Camouflage
Use of Skis/Snowshoes

Reconnaissance

Watch Cap
OD Eight Point Cover
Snow Parka (white)
Snow Pants (white)
Warm underwear
Wool socks (qty 2)
Warm boots
Gloves
4 MRE
Alice Ruck
E Tool
Knife
Sleeping Bag
X country/Alpine touring/Telemark Skis
or
Snowshoes
Poles (qty 2)
Airsoft M14 or M16 rifle
Eye Pro

This will be a two day camp, involving alpine terrain and deep snow, set your mindset accordingly. Basic camp essentials such as a tent, stove, axe, saw, snowmobile & trailer, etc. will be supplied. Any MCHA member that would like to help out or provide logistical or material support is encouraged to do so.

Cool, winter training! This would be possible in Finland for 6 month of year :) If you can make an after-action report, I would really like to read that. How cold it is in WA state in this time of the year? Have fun guys, OORAH!

North America is much colder than Europe, so even though Washington state is way south (France?), we get good winters. But I'am sure we are not as cold as Finland.

This ski resort is where I learned to ski as a child and is about 30 minutes from my house in southern BC.
