Camp Basilone is no picnic. Here you will not see neatly lined avenues of barracks. You will see barbed wire, a few tents, and sandbagged listening posts. Here, you can expect an enemy attack at any time. You will undergo a physical test like no other in the civilian world, you will be treated like fresh meat. Raw Marines getting ready for your first combat tour. You will be expected to maintain a military attitude and bearing within your character (assigned to you upon acceptance). Deviation from this character will not be tolerated. |
Expect life to be tough. |
 |
Sleep depravation is just the start. |

|
PT. Start your training regimen now. Life at Camp is not easy.
The program is designed to educate civilians about the rigors of Marine Corps training. You will be doing push ups, sit ups, running, field exercises and more. At times, all this on as little as 3 hours sleep.
But be assured you will have time to learn. The program is an educational experience, not a torture chamber. Life at Camp Basilone is filled with lessons to be sure, but it also is filled with camaraderie and experiences you won't forget. |
Every hour is planned. |
 |
Marksmanship, military history, Corps values. |

|
When you're not in the field, you're in the classroom.
Marksmanship, pugel sticks, patrol orders, frag orders, land navigation, notable Marines of the era, you'll learn a lot. You'll use the same tools that era-Marines used such as the PRC25 and PRC77 squad radio.
Every day you're under constant supervision of a Marine or Corpsman field instructor. Who better to teach civilians what it's like than the men who are doing it now? Guest instructors are men who served with Marine units incountry. All instructors are vetted to ensure that their records are accurate.

Graduation is earned. |

Your uniform is unique. |

|
The uniform of the MCHA is an historic homage to Marines of the past.
Graduation from Camp Basilone is not guaranteed. You will earn it.
The MCHA has its own device. Our "shield" pays homage to the 5th Marines and the warrior mind set embodied by Marines. Association rank, ribbons and device are awarded for accomplishments and academic knowledge. In alignment with Title 10 of the US Code, all US device (including the EGA and USMC buttons) are removed and a distinctive association patch and device are clearly added.
